It seems like in the 1950's orphans, homeless and elderly people were considered as crazy. Is this part of a culture. How does this relate to how these people are treated today? Disposable people. You could add unwed mothers to this list too. People seen as subhuman. How also does this relate to the Nazis and their attitudes. Cases of genocide in places like Canada and Ireland.
The treatment of these people today seems to be something that goes back many years into a culture of rich and poor, good and bad. Worth and worthless.
Ireland and the mother and baby homes. Orphans experimented on and killed. Industrial schools in Canada. The criminalization of the homeless in America today. Calling them all crazy. An ingrained culture.
